Big Returns!

Today is the first time we have collected bottles and cans since we started canvassing around the neighbourhood and we are thrilled with the support we have received so far. We received $38.30 today which is significant. To give you an idea of how good that is, the first two weeks of November, we collected $9.60 and $7.60 – that’s more than double what we collected this month so far! In fact, if we can keep up this pace through November, we’re sure to have a record-breaking month. Our best month [August] we collected $98.20 so we have big aspirations for November.

We should have taken photos of all the bottles and cans we had spread out over our front lawn – it was something to see.
We have enjoyed meeting people in the neighbourhood and have received such enthusiastic support from the residents we have visited. As we continue to reach out, we can only imagine the potential there is in the area to turn wine and beer bottle (and cans) into funds that will help needy families.
