Record-Breaking Day

Today we were simply amazed at the support we received. So many people left bottles and cans for us to collect that it was amazing. One home left us 15 cases of bottles that had been amassed. As we were collecting, a lady asked us what we were doing. After explaining, she immediately opened her garage to reveal four cases of empty bottles for us to have. So many people contributed – some one or two bottles – others many cases. Regardless of how much was donated, we appreciate the assistance from all.

In all, we collected 976 bottles today which we converted into $111.30. Not only have we broken our collection record for a month but we did it with one collection. In addition to what we received today, we also received donations through the week as we canvassed the neighbourhood. This bring the total for November to $206.80 and grand total of $741.80 for the year. We are quickly closing in on our goal for the year thanks to all the support we have received.
